Dear friends,

are just back from Sofia where I participated on behalf our association's annual Assembly of Europa Cantat (European Federation of Young's choir). Important innovations that will advance quickly but briefly, given the time and fatigue, to share with you the great recognition given to Italian choral.

first start by saying that during the Assembly has approved the merger between Europa Cantat and AGEC (Arbeiitsgemeinnschaft Europaischer Choverbande), a transaction that will strengthen the position of choral music in Europe, allowing the nascent "Europa Cantat Choral Association-European" to speak on behalf of a majority of the larger choral associations, choirs and directors.

The event, however, is that in election to the Board (The board of directors ..) the President of Sante Fornasier Feniarco received the highest number of preferences and the next and the first elected council was unanimously appointed Chairman of the emerging 'Europa Cantat Choral Association-European. " As he himself has to declare, thanks for the trust and confidence expressed in him, the appointment is also recognition of work undertaken by Feniarco and individual regional associations.

For all of us the appointment of his holiness must be a source of pride but also a spur to give our positive contribution to overcoming the challenges that await us in the coming years, challenges that will culminate in Turin 2012. Our success will be the success of Italian choral ensemble and the eyes of Europe confirms the choice of more than appropriate expressed yesterday in Sofia.
